Major project Lewis Hamilton said he is currently “working in the background” Ahead of retirement.

Lewis Hamilton’s Unforeseen Goal Before F1 Retirement: Bring the Sport Back to Africa.
Lewis Hamilton, one of the most successful Formula 1 drivers of all time, has an unexpected goal he wants to achieve before retiring: bringing Formula 1 back to Africa. Africa has not hosted a premier-class race in over 30 years, but Hamilton has been “working in the background” to make it happen. As part of his efforts, he is hoping to see South Africa back on the F1 calendar. This would be a dream come true for Hamilton, and he is determined to see it through before hanging up his helmet. Will he be able to make this dream a reality? Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure, Hamilton is not going to stop until he has achieved this goal. He has always been a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in Formula 1, and this goal is yet another way he is pushing for change in the sport. Whatever happens, it is clear that Hamilton is committed to making a lasting impact on Formula 1, both on and off the track.

In an interview with Total Motorsport, former F1 World Champion Jody Scheckter revealed that Kyalami, South Africa’s last Grand Prix venue, could have rejoined the Formula 1 calendar if not for greed from the circuit owners. The Kyalami circuit officials reportedly increased their fee from 500,000 to 2 million, and also attempted to take over the entire event. These demands ultimately led to the negotiations falling through, with the South African government also withdrawing its support. This has left Kyalami off the calendar, and Jody Scheckter says he doesn’t know if it will ever be back. It’s a shame that Kyalami may never again host a Formula 1 race, as it has a long and storied history in the sport. The circuit first hosted a Grand Prix in 1967, and it has seen some of the most legendary drivers in F1 history race there, including Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, and Michael Schumacher. It would be a dream come true for many fans to see F1 return to Kyalami, but it remains to be seen if that will ever happen. For now, fans can only look back fondly on the circuit’s past and hope for a brighter future.

While Kyalami may not be on the horizon for a return to Formula 1, there is hope that Africa will be back on the calendar soon. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has stated that there is interest from other African countries to host a race, and he is confident that the continent will return to the sport. This is good news for fans who have been hoping to see F1 back in Africa, and it remains to be seen which country will be the first to host a race. With so much interest, it is likely that the wait for a new African Grand Prix will not be a long one.
