Tiger Woods Set to Return to PGA Tour After Extended Break.

After a prolonged break, Tiger Woods is set to return to the PGA Tour next month, taking part in the Genesis Invitational in February. The 15-time major winner hasn’t played a tournament since last year’s Masters, where he was forced to withdraw through injury. But after a period of rehabilitation, Woods is ready to make his comeback. His first tournament of the year will take place at Riviera, where he’ll also be fulfilling his role as host of the event.

One of the tournaments Woods will have his sights set on is The Masters, which begins on April 5. Augusta National was the scene of his incredible comeback in 2019, as he won his 15th major despite years of battling injury. Woods will be aiming to add to that tally in 2024, but he’ll need to find his best form during the next few months if he is to be a contender at the first major of the year.
The 46-year-old will be entering a new decade of his career in 2024, having turned professional back in 1996.

A lot has changed in the game since then, but Woods has been one of the few constants during that period. And although his body has not been as forgiving in recent years, he is determined to continue playing for as long as possible.
“I’m not retiring until my son thinks I can’t win tournaments anymore,” he said. “That’s the plan. If he thinks I can still win tournaments and compete, then I’m still going to keep playing.”
Woods is a global icon, and his presence on the PGA Tour will be a major boost for the circuit in 2024.

There is a lot for Woods to look forward to in 2024, but his mind will remain solely focused on his recovery for now. The 46-year-old has not competed since his latest injury setback in the Bahamas, where he missed the cut after a second-round 77. However, his T11 finish on the opening day was a promising sign of his improving health, having previously played sparingly in 2022 due to pain and discomfort.
If Woods can continue to progress through the coming months, he may just be able to mark a major milestone in style at Augusta National.
