Melbourne, Australia – Jannik Sinner’s preparations for the Australian Open 2025 took a slight detour on Wednesday, as he ended a training match in Melbourne with a draw.
The Italian tennis sensation, who is seeded to make a deep run in the tournament, took to the practice courts at Melbourne Park to fine-tune his game ahead of the year’s first Grand Slam.
However, despite his best efforts, Sinner was unable to emerge victorious in the training match, ultimately settling for a draw.
While the result may not have been what Sinner was hoping for, his team remains optimistic about his chances at the Australian Open.
“Jannik is working hard to prepare for the tournament, and these training matches are an important part of that process,” said Sinner’s coach, Simone Vagnozzi. “We’re not too concerned about the result today – it’s all about getting Jannik ready for the challenges ahead.”
With the Australian Open 2025 just around the corner, Sinner will be looking to use this training match as a valuable learning experience to improve his game and make a strong run in the tournament.
